The headteacher and her staff are committed to developing a school that provides high quality teaching and an excellent enrichment programme in a safe, supportive environment, giving all pupils the best chance of academic success. Monitoring of Lynch Hill by external advisory boards is ongoing, though our initial feedback has been positive, re-affirming that good progress is being made.
We are aware that we do not currently have external examination results for our students and so moderation of our attainment data is critical. Our moderation processes include:-
- Substantial internal moderation and an expectation of multiple sources of evidence to justify a judgement.
- A programme of moderation visits with subject specialists in 'outstanding' schools.
- Visits and accompanying reports with highly experienced educational consultants to help us further moderate English and Maths data.
Assessors have been ‘hugely impressed’ by results achieved by the staff, with students feeling fully supported and excited about the future. Recent feedback from parents was that ‘no child is left behind… [they are all] nurtured to meet their full potential’. Our pupils agree ‘school is great... I love school… [there are] more opportunities than any other school.’
